Local-PC-Guy.com updated · Fri May 18, 12:12 AM
I put up a newly redesigned version of Local-PC-Guy.com tonight. Only a few pages are live, with the rest of the pages and the functionality to be built in fairly soon.
The old site was very dated, and I needed to get something online that is representative of my skills as a website designer and coder. My portfolio will be on that site as well in the near future.

FreedomKart.com online · Fri May 18, 12:10 AM
The switch was flipped today and the newly designed website for freedomkart.com is now online and live to view. I did both the design and coding to bring this website to fruition.
I put this together fairly quickly, over the last 2 weeks or so, although there was some design work and basic coding done prior to that. But overall, I’m happy with the results and the customer is as well. I’m sure there will be some bug fixes and minor edits needed.
We will be adding some pages to the site, and integrating a basic CMS system as well so the owner can update the site himself, but the core functionality is now there.
The biggest challenge I faced is getting a fluid design to work and hold together at different widths. The site uses a combination of XHTML, CSS and Javascript, along with some fairly simple PHP.

New blog setup for Ann Arbor Broker Jack Brandmeier · Sat May 5, 04:51 PM
I helped Jack get a blog about Ann Arbor real estate started and the first post went live last night. On it, he will be blogging about real estate and related topics in and around Ann Arbor.
The blog should help his SEO for his main website, and may help draw new visitors as well who will have an idea who Jack is. This will go hand in hand with the redesign being done to his website right now, which is coming along.

Google gone swimming? · Tue Apr 17, 10:38 PM
My wife just pointed out something on Google maps I found funny. To see it for yourself, go to Google Maps and click on “Get Directions”.
Then, put Miami, FL in the from box, and Paris, France in the to box.
Click the Get Directions button.
Look at direction number 30 to see how Google suggests you get across the Atlantic.
Silly, but I thought it was funny.

First Ajax app online · Tue Apr 17, 10:34 PM
Well, I managed to work my way through my first AJAX application, a Live Search that updates the search results as you type your search query. It also pulls a list of articles from an XML file and displays the titles.
Check my first Ajax app out, let me know what you think!
Try searching some web related terms, or try scoping your search dynamically once you have some results. There is no submit button or go button, just type and then wait for the results to appear.
